On December 14th, 2023, Tedi Papavrami and Maki Okada performed on the stage of the Theater of Opera and Ballet in Tirana. This event was brought to the public by ABI Bank and Harabel Contemporary.

In the first part of the concert they performed Debussy, Sonate pour violon et piano en sol mineur and Fauré, Sonate pour violon et piano no.1 en la majeur.

In the second part, Papavrami and Okada performed two more sonatas by Schumann and Brahms.

Tedi Papavrami was considered extremely talented from an early age. In September 1982, the French government offered him a scholarship to study in France where he studied at the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique in Paris, under the direction of Pierre Amoyal. In 1985 he won the “Rodolfo Lipitzer” competition in Gorizia, in 1986 he unanimously won the “First Prize of the Conservatory of Paris, in 1987 he received the diploma of the Conservatory of Lausanne. He has continuously won awards and has performed with prestigious orchestras from different countries of the world.

While Maki Okada has completed her studies at Toho Gakuen School of Music in Tokyo and then in France. The connections created during this time with France and Europe marked her musical development; nowadays in the repertoire for violin and piano where she focuses with her husband Tedi Papavrami. Together in 2018, they received the “Barocsaal” award in Kyoto, for the best concert of the season.
