On October 20, 2023, Harabel Contemporary with the support of the Ministry of Tourism and Environment organized the exhibition of several installation works by the artist Ergys Krisiko in the exhibition space inside the Castle of Tirana.
The three works are shaped as horses with dimensions of 4 m x 4 m x 2.5 m, made of resin, steel and stainless steel, painted in pink.
Located inside the Tirana Castle, this exhibition is a fusion of past and present, an exploration of the role of art in shaping our identity. Horses, traditionally seen as symbols of strength and freedom, are re-imagined as elegant and vibrant installations, dressed as rarely ever in shades of pink. Each horse embodies a unique narrative, a celebration of the multifaceted essence of women.
“Fortesat” is a thought-provoking journey that recalls the diversity of women’s experiences. It associates these majestic animals with the concept of women, their strength, resistance, and the vibrant spectrum of emotions they encompass. While adorning these horses in pink, we explore the nuanced layers of femininity, from softness to ferocity, from elegance to power.
This exhibition not only challenges artistic boundaries, but also encourages critical thinking on art, gender and identity.
