Gallery “Debussy” presents in its space the solo project of artist Eltjon Valle. The exhibition features selected works by the artist created over the years. “Uncorrupted Conflicts” was curated by Klodi Dedja and remained open to visitors from September 12, 2025 – October 12, 2025, in Tirana.
This exhibition is divided into a series of mixed-media paintings and another of sculptures.
The works carry significant social and anthropological meanings, with a primary focus on ecology, bringing attention to environmental pollution that reflects the consequences of collective choices.
The artist recreates matter in a conceptual form to give meaning to the transformations caused by environmental pollution, thus giving it a new identity, with a retrospective sense of the consequences of our collective choices on the planet and future generations.
For the sculptures, Valle uses recyclable materials such as titanium, aluminum, oil, or various chemical compounds, together with objects like a teddy bear, a violin, a tennis racket, and a classical sculpture, thus creating a world of objects that respond to one another through a continuous conflict.
The recreation of the classical sculpture “The Belvedere Torso” turns into an unexpected scene of metamorphosis, where butterflies, delicate and ephemeral creatures — touch the very idea of eternity. In this series, the butterfly becomes a universal symbol of change, resilience, and transient beauty.
Meanwhile, in the other sculptures, which are covered with oil, the butterflies create a balance as a result of a conflict between the actions and thoughts of a collective, conveying a more symbolic and optimistic message. These oil-covered objects reflect the “suffering” of materials exposed to pollution. Overall, Eltjon Valle’s exhibition becomes a profound reflection on the relationship between humans and the environment, placing the viewer before the consequences of collective actions and the need for ecological awareness. Through the interplay of unexpected materials and strong visual symbolism, the artist succeeds in creating a dialogue between destruction and regeneration, between pain and hope.
Eltjon Valle (born in 1984 in Tirana, Albania) is a contemporary visual artist whose practice bridges painting, sculpture, and environmental research. His work investigates the complex relationship between humanity and the natural world, often reflecting on themes of industrialization, pollution, and ecological regeneration. Valle is known for his experimental use of materials — including oil residues, ashes, and industrial waste, which he transforms into poetic and conceptual artworks. By incorporating these unconventional substances, he creates a dialogue about environmental degradation and the possibility of renewal. Educated at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, Valle has exhibited widely across Europe, with works held in both private and public collections. He currently lives and works between Milan and Tirana.
